Job summary

Utz Quality Foods is seeking a Packer for our Hanover, PA facility. You will inspect and pack products into boxes and cartons in a team setting, ensuring quality and efficiency at your station.

The role requires standing 100% of the time, lifting up to 50 lbs, basic math and reading skills, and ability to operate packaging equipment including a shrink wrapper. A strong emphasis is placed on food safety and accuracy.

Qualifications

• Requires basic math and reading skills.
• Ability to fluently communicate in and read English or Spanish.
• Must be willing and able to stand 100% of the time.
• Regular lifting (up to 50 lbs).
• Ability to bend, stoop, squat, pivot.

Responsibilities

• Inspects packaged items and alerts supervisor of changes.
• Performs quality and food safety tasks for the position.
• Moves product from packing area to warehouse using hand jacks.
• Scans finished product into inventory using scanning equipment.
• Sets up mats and cartons for packers before production starts.
• Prepares packing area when packaging different products.
• Helps relieve for breaks and lunches.
• Operates Shrink Wrapper as needed.
• Assists with cleaning floor and equipment weekly and sanitation duties.
• Other duties as assigned by supervisor.
