Job summary

Silgan is seeking a dedicated quality-focused worker to uphold product safety and quality across the production line in West Virginia. This role emphasizes adherence to standards and continuous improvement of processes.

You will monitor machine operation, verify correct counting and packing, label boxes for shipment, and maintain a clean, safe workspace in accordance with all safety rules.

Responsibilities

• monitor machine operation to ensure parts are collected into storage boxes and counted correctly
• ensure parts packed into storage boxes are in adherence to the required stack pattern
• identify nonconformities and inform the Shift QA
• evaluate product to ensure high quality and conformance with established standards
• report any food safety and quality problems or concerns
• tape boxes shut, label the boxes, and stack for shipment
• maintain a clean and safe working area
• perform sweeping, cleaning, sorting duties as necessary
• perform all duties in accordance with safety rules and procedures
