Job summary

Applied Materials, Inc. is seeking a Process Engineer, Quality & Operations to drive quality excellence across SPG Metrology. You will establish, improve, and sustain quality systems, metrics, and best practices, collaborating with cross-functional teams to optimize lab workflows, data analysis, and customer satisfaction.

You will lead CAPA, root-cause analysis, and projects focused on productivity, automation, and process optimization in a high-tech manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• BS or higher in Engineering, Materials Science, Physics, Chemistry, Manufacturing Engineering, or related field.
• 5+ years in quality/process engineering, or related roles in semiconductor or high- tech environments.
• Experience developing/implementing quality standards, process controls, KPIs.
• Experience with root cause analysis, CAPA, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Familiarity with SPC, MSA, DOE, FMEA, Lean Six Sigma and related tools.

Responsibilities

• Lead quality improvement initiatives to enhance consistency, repeatability, and customer satisfaction.
• Develop and implement quality standards, acceptance criteria, metrics, KPIs, and best practices.
• Analyze quality and operations data to identify improvements and drive corrective actions.
• Collaborate with engineering, operations, and supplier teams to improve process capability.
• Lead projects on productivity, workflow optimization, automation, and capacity expansion.
• Establish dashboards and reporting to monitor performance and accountability.
• Promote a culture of quality and continuous improvement across the organization.
