Job summary

Misfits Market is seeking a hands-on, data-driven Quality Engineer Manager to lead our Fulfillment Center quality strategy and compliance execution. You will oversee the QA function, mentor the supervisor, and drive continuous improvement across the site while ensuring adherence to GMPs and regulatory standards.

You will partner with Operations, Merchandising, and Logistics to design processes, implement SOPs, and deploy electronic QMS/WMS.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Food Science, Supply Chain, or related technical field.
• 3–5 years of experience in Quality Assurance, Continuous Improvement, or Process Engineering in manufacturing or high-volume fulfillment.
• Strong proficiency in Data Analysis and Statistical Process Control (SPC).
• Experience with Project Management methodologies.
• Knowledge of Lean Six Sigma (Green Belt a plus).
• Familiarity with FDA, USDA-AMS & FSIS, GFSI, FSMA regulations; HACCP and SQF credentials are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead site CAPA and validation activities; drive continuous improvement projects.
• Define and deploy SOPs and Work Instructions; manage document control in e-QMS/WMS.
• Coach and mentor the QA Supervisor; ensure floor audits of picking, packing, shipping, and sanitation.
• Use SPC, Pareto charts, and trend data to identify quality issues and trends.
• Maintain audit readiness and support regulatory and customer audits (FDA/USDA/SQF).
