Job summary

Misfits Market is seeking a Quality Control Lead to safeguard product quality across inbound, storage, production, and outbound stages in our refrigerated warehouse. You’ll review data, conduct QC inspections of produce and groceries, document results, and escalate issues to the QC Supervisor.

You’ll train new team members and support SQF/GDP-compliant operations with a proactive mindset. This role requires US work authorization, ability to lift 50 lbs, and willingness to work overtime and/or

Qualifications

• Authorized to work in the United States.
• Experience in a refrigerated environment (36 degrees).
• Strong verbal communication skills.
• Willingness to work overtime and/or weekends as needed.
• Ability to thrive in a repetitive and fast-paced environment.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs repeatedly.
• Ability to stand, squat, kneel, and bend repeatedly.

Responsibilities

• Maintains a safe and healthy work environment by following standards and procedures; complies with all state and local regulations for a food-based facility.
• Adheres to SQF Food Safety Code and GDP rules on the warehouse floor.
• Performs frequent QC inspections on produce and groceries; removes and documents items that fail inspection.
• Documents and maintains accurate records of all food products in the warehouse.
• Validates inbound deliveries, including temperature and pressure checks; maintains databases with current data.
• Escalates any potential food safety or quality problems to the QC Supervisor.
