Job summary

The Boeing Company in Berkeley, MO seeks a Quality Engineer to represent the Quality function on project teams across proposals and programs. You will interpret requirements, develop quality metrics, and ensure compliance with QMS and contractual and regulatory standards.

Responsibilities include supporting supplier selection, conducting capability assessments, performing analyses and audits, and leading corrective actions for non-conformances. Travel up to 10% may be required.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited program in engineering, engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology), chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science.
  • 3+ years of experience in Quality Management Systems (QMS).
  • 3+ years of experience with quality inspection and/or auditing.
  • 3+ years of experience with root cause analysis and corrective action (RCCA) methods.
  • 3+ years of experience working with Non-conformance (NCR) processes.

  • Works under general direction.
  • Level 4: Leads integration of contractual and Boeing Quality Management System requirements into all aspects of proposals and program processes and documentation.
  • Provides interpretation of complex requirements.
  • Develops quality metrics, design and production certification plans for large programs to ensure compliance with contractual, Company and regulatory requirements.
  • Develops Quality criteria to support supplier selection activities.
  • Leads various reviews to ensure quality attributes are incorporated into product designs.
  • Develops and selects methods for analysis, testing and audit to ensure manufacturing and test readiness.
  • Assists in development of new standards repairs for non-conformances.
  • Analyzes non-conformance trends to evaluate effectiveness of corrective actions.
  • Develops and implements corrective actions.
  • Performs benchmarking and other forms of advanced analysis to ensure specified processes capability levels are achieved.
  • Works under minimal direction.
Basic Qualifications
  • Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology), chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science
  • 3+ years of experience in Quality Management Systems (QMS)
  • 3+ years of experience with quality Inspection and/or auditing
  • 3+ years of experience with root cause analysis and corrective action (RCCA) methods
  • 3+ years of experience working with Non-conformance (NCR) processes
Preferred Qualifications
  • 1+ years of experience with FAI
  • 3+ years of experience in aerospace, fabrication, or manufacturing environment
  • 3+ years of experience performing quantitative or statistical analysis, data collection, preparation and interpretation Level 4
  • 5+ years of experience in Quality Management Systems (QMS)
  • 5+ years of experience with quality Inspection and/or auditing
  • 5+ years of experience with root cause analysis and corrective action (RCCA) methods
  • 5+ years of experience working with Non-conformance (NCR) processes

  • Summary pay range: USD Level 3 (Mid-level) $100,300 - $135,700
  • Level 4 (Senior) $122,400 - $165,600
