Job summary

General Dynamics Electric Boat is seeking a Quality Inspection Supervisor for the Quonset Point facility in North Kingstown, RI. You will oversee receipt inspection, calibration lab operations, and lead two teams across multiple shifts to ensure material quality and compliant documentation for submarine construction programs.

Must have engineering background, 3+ years in related fields and 2+ years of supervisory experience, with ability to obtain DoD clearance.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED
• 3+ years in engineering, metrology, or receipt inspection
• 2+ years of supervisory experience
• Experience with CFE/GFE receipt inspection processes
• Open to varying shifts, weekends, overtime

Responsibilities

• Oversee CFE and GFE receipt inspection to ensure materials meet requirements
• Lead daily Metrology/Calibration Laboratory operations
• Supervise both receipt inspection and metrology teams and manage workloads
• Review inspection results and coordinate rejection processing and corrective actions
• Support continuous improvement across inspection and metrology workflows
• Ensure adherence to Electric Boat and NAVSEA standards and procedures
• Collaborate with Groton and Quonset Point teams to align processes
• Manage emergent needs and off-shift requirements for submarine construction schedules
• Provide support for travel, overtime, and off-shift work as required
