As Electric Boat continues to support construction of the VIRGINIA Class and COLUMBIA submarine programs, ourQuality Organizationplays a critical role in ensuring every component meets the highest standards of safety, performance, and reliability.
To support the next phase of Virginia and Columbia Class submarine construction, Electric Boat is executing a Build to EB Paper approach within a Focus Factory environment at supplier facilities.
We are seeking Quality Inspectors to support inspection duties at Electric Boat and our supplierfacilities throughout the United States.
This role requires up to 90% travel to off-site locations where you will verify attributes for welds, structures and components.
Candidates will be trained in Quality Control systems, Electric Boat procedures applicable to the work they are performing and Quality Department Instructions. Candidates must work in a collaborative environment to meet all company and organizational goals. This position is to be part of the new Embedded Team, building missile compartment decks, foundation, tanks etc.
All successful candidates will be required to maintain a Magnetic Particle certification. Further opportunity for inspection disciplines such as Liquid Penetrant, Pre-Test, Electrical, Mechanical, etc. may be made available once proficiency has been achieved and maintained in Magnetic Particle. Candidates must successfully pass all Mock Audits and oversights to maintain certification.

This position's home location is Florence, South Carolina andrequires up to 90% travel to Electric Boat and our supplier facilities throughout the United States

The selected candidate's home location will be the Electric Boat facility closest to their primary residence.
Approximately 10% of work will be performed from the assigned home location, with the majority of work requiring travel to support off‑site operations.
