Job summary

SQA Services, Inc. is hiring a Quality Mechanical Inspector in Chicago, IL for the first shift. The role involves on-site inspection of precision mechanical parts at client suppliers in the Midwest, using GD&T and various inspection tools.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years of hands-on inspection experience, reads drawings accurately, and can document conformance to specifications. This on-site position requires attention to detail and strong measurement skills.

Qualifications

5+ years of hands-on experience with precision mechanical parts inspection.
Ability to read and interpret manufacturing drawings and industry standards.
Proficient in GD&T and validating dimensions using hand tools.
Experience with certificates of conformance and inspection documentation.
Excellent visual acuity to detect defects in complex products.

Responsibilities

Conduct precision mechanical inspections at client suppliers in Chicago, IL and Midwest.
Verify workmanship and conformance to drawings/drawings to specifications.
Inspect various parts and assemblies using micrometers, indicators, calipers, and CMMs.
Perform surface plate inspection of first article, in-process, or lot samples.
Document inspection results and ensure conformance to standards.
