Job summary

Ultimate Staffing seeks an experienced Quality Mechanical Inspector to join a growing manufacturing team in Tyngsborough, MA. You will perform first article, in-process, and final inspections, program and operate CMM equipment, and verify parts against GD&T and blueprints.

This temp-to-hire role offers 1st or 2nd shifts, a four-day work week, and competitive hourly pay of $30-$40 depending on experience, with benefits available after permanent hire.

Qualifications

• Previous inspection experience in machining/manufacturing
• Experience programming and operating CMM equipment
• Strong blueprint reading skills
• Understanding of GD&T principles
• Experience using precision measuring tools
• Basic computer skills
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities

Responsibilities

• Perform first article, in-process, and final inspections
• Program and operate CMM equipment
• Inspect machined parts using calipers, micrometers, height gauges, and other measuring tools
• Read and interpret blueprints and GD&T requirements
• Document inspection results and maintain quality records
• Identify and communicate quality concerns
• Partner with manufacturing and engineering teams to resolve issues
• Support continuous improvement and quality initiatives
