Job summary

Morgan Advanced Materials in Auburn, WA is seeking a Quality Manager to lead the site’s quality strategy and drive process stability. You will own the QMS, lead SPC and CAPA activities, and collaborate with Operations, Engineering and Supply Chain to improve yield and reduce defects.

The role requires a Bachelor's in Engineering, 5+ years in manufacturing (aerospace/medical experience preferred) and strong leadership of cross‑functional teams, with ISO 9001/14001 and 21 CFR Part 820 knowledge.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering; Mechanical preferred.
• Minimum five years of manufacturing experience; aerospace/medical manufacturing preferred.
• Demonstrated leadership to set a quality vision and drive accountability.
• Strong knowledge of quality management systems and standards (ISO 9001, ISO 14001, 21 CFR Part 820).
• Experience with statistical process control, process capability, measurement systems, risk‑based thinking, and data‑driven quality improvement.
• Strong customer and supplier quality skills, including escalation management.
• Root‑cause, corrective action, problem solving, and cross‑functional leadership.
• ASQ CQE certification is desirable but not required.
• Proficiency with Word/Excel and ERP, quality systems and digital reporting tools.

Responsibilities

• Serve as Management Representative for ISO 9001/ISO 14001 requirements.
• Ensure the quality management system supports operational performance and compliance.
• Lead statistical process control, control‑plan governance, process validation and MSA.
• Partner with Operations and Engineering to improve process capability and standardize processes.
• Lead root‑cause, corrective‑action and CAPA activities for systemic improvement.
• Develop visibility to quality and process performance using data analytics and digital tools.
• Serve as primary quality interface for audits, key customers and quality concerns.
• Develop and execute a risk‑based supplier quality strategy with Supply Chain.
• Support NPI launch quality and site‑level continuous‑improvement initiatives.
• Build and mentor a high‑performing Quality organization.
