  • Collaborate with procurement to strengthen supplier quality and resolve concerns before production impact.
  • Use Lean, Six Sigma, SPC, FMEA, Control Plans, and PPAP to identify trends and improve efficiency.
  • Develop quality reporting and performance reviews for leadership insights.
  • Mentor teams and build quality capability across the facility.

Siemens Mobility is Growing in Lexington and seeking to bring on board a Quality Manager with Project Quality responsibilities to our Customer Service team. This role is quite critical, as it ensures both the ongoing quality of manufacturing operations (MO) and the quality standards within specific projects. It is a multifaceted position that requires a strong understanding of quality management systems, project lifecycles, and Siemens' specific operational context. This role wears two hats, so the duties will reflect both the operational and project-specific aspects of quality.

In this role, you will lead quality across both manufacturing operations and customer projects, ensuring processes, products, suppliers, and project deliverables meet Siemens standards, customer expectations, and regulatory requirements.

What your day-to-day will look like:

  • Own and continuously improve the local Quality Management System to maintain alignment with Siemens global standards, ISO 9001 requirements, and business needs.
  • Monitor manufacturing processes, quality gates, and inspection activities to prevent defects, improve process capability, and ensure products meet required specifications.
  • Lead non-conformance management, root cause analysis, and corrective/preventive actions to reduce repeat issues and drive sustainable quality improvements.
  • Partner with procurement and suppliers to strengthen supplier quality performance, support supplier qualification, and resolve quality concerns before they impact production or customers.
  • Use quality data, metrics, audits, and continuous improvement tools such as Lean, Six Sigma, SPC, FMEA, Control Plans, and PPAP to identify trends, reduce waste, and improve operational efficiency.
  • Develop clear quality reporting, documentation, and performance reviews that provide leadership with actionable insight into risks, progress, and improvement opportunities.
  • Build quality capability across the facility by mentoring teams, delivering training, and reinforcing accountability for quality at every stage of the process.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Quality Management, or a related technical field required; an MBA or master’s degree in Quality Management, Engineering Management, or a related field is a plus.
  • Proven ability to lead, motivate, and develop quality teams while building accountability and engagement across the organization.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate effectively with internal teams, leadership, suppliers, and customers.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with experience identifying root causes, interpreting quality data, and implementing effective corrective actions.
  • Strategic outlook with the ability to align quality initiatives to business priorities, customer expectations, and operational performance goals.
  • Demonstrated change management skills, including the ability to drive process improvements and foster a culture of continuous quality improvement.
  • High attention to detail, with a disciplined approach to quality standards, documentation, compliance, and audit readiness.

The actual wage offered may be lower or higher depending on budget and candidate experience, knowledge, skills, qualifications, and premium geographic location.
