Job summary

Axalta in High Point, NC is seeking a Quality Manager to lead our QC lab operations and maintain the Quality Management System. This role acts as the Site Leadership Team member and may back up the Production Manager as needed.

The ideal candidate has 6+ years in manufacturing with 3+ years in supervisory/managerial roles, 2+ years leading quality teams, and Lean Six Sigma certification. ISO 9001, CAPA, and SPC experience are required.

Qualifications

• Six-plus years in manufacturing with at least three years in production supervision or management.
• Two-plus years leading quality or QC teams, preferably in coatings or chemicals.
• Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt certification.
• Working knowledge of ISO 9001, CAPA, audits, and SPC.
• Experience with SAP QM or similar ERP/LIMS systems.

Responsibilities

• Direct daily QC lab operations and maintain the QMS.
• Lead continuous improvement projects to raise Right-First-Time rates.
• Coordinate audits, CAPA closures, NCRs, and deviations.
• Back up Production Manager for daily meetings and staffing.
• Ensure EHS compliance in lab and plant.
