Weckworth Manufacturing, Inc. in Haysville, Kansas is seeking a Quality Manager to lead a six-person team and drive the quality program across military, government, aerospace, and commercial contracts.

You will own the Quality Department, champion standards, and partner with leadership to deliver first-time quality. The role emphasizes hands-on leadership, process improvement, and ensuring compliance with customer specifications.

Formación

• 5–7 years of progressive experience in quality assurance or quality control within a manufacturing environment.
• At least 3 years of demonstrated leadership experience managing and developing a quality team.
• Strong working knowledge of ISO 9001 and AS9100 Rev D quality management standards.
• Experience with quality audits, root cause analysis, corrective actions, and continuous improvement.
• Ability to interpret technical drawings, specifications, patterns, and customer requirements.
• Excellent problem-solving, organizational, analytical, and communication skills.
• Bachelor's degree in Quality Management, Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Textiles, or related field - or equivalent experience.

Responsabilidades

• Lead the Quality Department, set expectations, build accountability, and inspire results.
• Develop and maintain quality systems and standards, including ISO 9001 and AS9100 Rev D.
• Oversee incoming, in-process, and final inspections to meet specs.
• Investigate quality concerns and implement corrective and preventive actions.
• Drive continuous improvement with Production, Engineering, and Purchasing to reduce defects.
• Lead customer and supplier quality discussions and audits.
• Train and mentor team members to promote quality awareness.
• Monitor performance, analyze trends, and present improvement opportunities.
• Balance office duties with time on the floor to improve processes.
