Job summary

Howmet Aerospace Inc. in Mauston, WI, is seeking a Quality Excellence Manager to design and drive the Quality Assurance system, ensuring manufacturing processes deliver ISO9001-compliant products.

This role requires strategic thinking, strong leadership, and the ability to guide cross-functional teams in a fast-paced environment. You will supervise QA staff, implement preventive quality measures, coordinate supplier quality, and lead internal audits.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited university required. Preferred to be in Engineering, Metallurgy, Mechanical Engineering, or related field.
• 5+ years experience with preventive Quality Systems or relative military experience.
• 3+ years of supervisory level experience overseeing Quality Systems.

Responsibilities

• Manage the Quality Assurance department: supervise and appraise performance, hire, train and recommend salary adjustments.
• Interprets and maintains site procedures; leads quality assurance philosophy including preventive quality systems.
• Implements/maintains inspection, disposition and record retention for incoming materials; reviews issues with suppliers.
• Lead corrective action and root-cause analysis; measure non-conformance costs and drive data collection for processes.
• Coordinate audits with customers and accreditation agencies; improve internal audit system and actions.
