Job summary

Whirlpool Corporation is seeking a Quality Manager in Ohio to lead a team of engineers, technicians, and inspectors focused on delivering premium product quality. You will drive quality control programs, respond to customer quality concerns, and conduct regulatory audits in a heavy manufacturing setting.

The role emphasizes continuous improvement, cross-functional collaboration, and leadership across all shifts to ensure top product performance and compliance with internal and external quality

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or related field required.
• 5 years of quality, engineering, or operations leadership experience in a manufacturing facility desired.
• Preferred: Quality Control leadership experience and Six Sigma/lean certifications.

Responsibilities

• Allocate team resources to respond to quality control priorities for daily production in a 24-hour facility.
• Lead root cause analysis to resolve quality issues and implement countermeasures.
• Coordinate across shifts, including overtime, weekends, and holidays, to complete hold orders and reworks.
• Drive continuous improvement across manufacturing processes and product design parameters.
• Develop strategies to improve KPIs like Service Incident Rate, First Pass Yield, and Customer Assurance Lab PPM.
