Job summary

Whirlpool Corporation in Findlay, OH seeks a Supplier Quality Engineering Technician to ensure product quality from design through post-launch. You will inspect materials, perform life testing, and lead root-cause analysis to improve durability and process stability.

The role requires reading blueprints, performing GR&R, and developing control plans; you will work with Engineering, Assembly, and Quality teams and support CI/WCM initiatives.

Qualifications

• Experience with root cause analysis (8D, A3, 5Why) required.
• Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and specs.
• Knowledge of CI, Lean, and WCM tools (5S, Kaizens).
• Proficient in Excel; experience with Google Workspace.

Responsibilities

• Monitor, inspect, and evaluate in-process materials, components, and finished products to ensure compliance with safety, quality, and regulatory standards.
• Perform tests, inspections, and tear-down evaluations to determine causes of failure.
• Maintain test case procedures, control plans, and SOPs; perform GR&R and DOE studies.
• Lead 8D, A3, and 5Why problem solving to identify root causes of quality issues.
• Coordinate disposition, containment, and rework with suppliers and manufacturing.
• Support CI and WCM initiatives and data systems in quality processes.
