Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, statistics or related curriculum required.
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in manufacturing environment.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to present clear and concise information to varied levels within the organization
• Ability to multitask, manage projects and build cohesive teams.
• Able to work all shifts and hours as required.
• Demonstrated ability to engage and build trust with an hourly manufacturing workforce.
• Strong understanding of change management practices
• Strong cultural sensitivity and understanding of diversity & inclusion strategic priorities
• Highly organized and deadline driven with the ability to prioritize
• Must be proficient in Microsoft Suite: Excel, Access, Visio, PowerPoint, Word and Outlook.

Responsibilities

• Direct Quality assurance efforts for product operations and resolve quality issues.
• Train staff and apply statistical analyses to improve quality results.
• Represent plant quality in front of customers and suppliers during escalation.
• Coordinate containment actions and share best practices across plants.
• Maintain QA systems, warranty data, scrap data, and customer concerns.
• Prepare monthly quality reports and sign off on process specifications.
• Manage hiring and training of direct reports and provide feedback.
• Provide technical support to customers and suppliers on quality issues.
• Ensure ISO/TS quality practices and internal audits are met.
• Drive corrective and preventive actions and supplier quality.
• Monitor CSRs and notify customers of major changes.
