Job summary

Clarios is seeking a Quality Manager to lead the Quality assurance for product operations, focusing on solving process, material, or labor problems that affect quality commitments. You will train staff, apply analytical methods, and represent the plant in customer and supplier escalations.

You will coordinate containment actions, promote best practices, and advance ISO 9001/IATF 16949 compliant systems, driving continuous improvement across the site in Canby, Oregon.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, statistics or related curriculum required.
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in manufacturing environment.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to present clear and concise information to varied levels within the organization
• Ability to multitask, manage projects and build cohesive teams.
• Able to work all shifts and hours as required.
• Demonstrated ability to engage and build trust with an hourly manufacturing workforce.
• Strong understanding of change management practices
• Strong cultural sensitivity and understanding of diversity & inclusion strategic priorities
• Highly organized and deadline driven with the ability to prioritize
• Must be proficient in Microsoft Suite: Excel, Access, Visio, PowerPoint, Word and Outlook.

Responsibilities

• Direct Quality assurance efforts for product operations with emphasis on problem identification and resolution.
• Train staff personnel and apply analytical and statistical analyses to achieve quality results.
• Represent plant quality in front of customers and suppliers when escalation is needed.
• Coordinate containment actions and share best practices across plants.
• Support standardization of processes and quality tools across Product Operations footprint.
• Plan and direct quality and continuous improvement activities within the facility.
