Job summary

Eurofins USA Food Testing in Lancaster, PA seeks a Local Quality Manager to support the supervisor in achieving timelines and quality goals. The role may oversee local quality staff for delegated tasks and requires adherence to ISO/IEC 17025 and related regulatory standards.

The position involves audits, document control, staff training oversight, equipment calibration, and supplier performance management in a fast-paced laboratory environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in science or related field; two years of related industry experience equals one full-time year
• Willing to work overtime, weekends, and holidays as needed
• Authorization to work in the United States indefinitely without sponsorship

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates and promotes the company vision
• Regular attendance and punctuality
• Reads, understands and follows management system requirements including ISO 17025/AOAC ALACC
• Reviews and distributes new/revised controlled documents and maintains SOPs
• Acts as a resource for laboratory personnel on internal quality documents
• Ensures staff are trained on relevant documents and maintains training records
• Maintains daily process controls for enumeration and pathogen testing with client samples
• Conducts annual self-audit and coordinates monthly method audits with audit reports
• Identifies non-conformances, documents complaints, and supports corrective actions
• Ensures equipment is qualified and calibrated, maintains calibration schedule
• Verifies results and transmits to appropriate personnel promptly
• Maintains proficiency testing program participation
• Responds to client, staff, and co-worker queries; maintains readiness
• Coordinates supplier performance reviews and maintains approved supplier list
• Conducts Quality Management Review meetings annually
• Accompanies auditors during audits and coordinates responses
• Maintains cooperative working relationships and clear communication
• Adheres to health, safety and environmental regulations
• Performs other duties as assigned
