Job summary

Eurofins USA BioPharma Services is seeking a Metrology Specialist in Lancaster, PA to maintain, calibrate, qualify, and troubleshoot laboratory instrumentation in regulated settings. This role supports quality systems, validation activities, and continuous improvement with cross-functional collaboration.

The successful candidate will be a technical resource, ensuring instruments stay compliant, accurate, and operational, while mentoring staff and guiding instrumentation-related procedures.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 8 years in GxP-regulated laboratories, metrology, calibration, or instrumentation support.
• Experience troubleshooting, repairing, qualifying, and documenting laboratory instrumentation.
• Experience authoring technical documentation and validation deliverables.

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance, calibration, qualification, and validation of laboratory instrumentation per procedures.
• Maintain instruments in a validated, compliant state with preventive maintenance and testing.
• Investigate instrument issues, document findings, and implement corrective actions.
• Support qualification and validation of new instrumentation and systems.
• Develop and execute validation protocols and related documentation.
• Document all instrumentation activities to quality system standards.
• Maintain calibration schedules, maintenance logs, and validation files.
• Collaborate with lab, quality, and technical teams for reliability and excellence.
• Identify process improvements to enhance efficiency and instrument performance.
• Provide training and mentoring on instrumentation procedures and best practices.
• Prioritize and complete projects to meet timelines and business needs.
