Job summary

Bodycote in Arlington, TX seeks a Quality Manager to lead the quality department, ensure products meet customer requirements, and implement a robust quality program aligned with business standards. You will drive KPIs, oversee audits, and coordinate cross-functionally to sustain process improvements.

The role requires experience in heat treatment quality, PPAP, and familiarity with aerospace/industrial standards, with a focus on Lean and Six Sigma principles in a manufacturing setting.

Qualifications

• Metallurgy or Materials Science degree preferred.
• Experience with commercial heat treatment of industrial alloys (steel, aluminum, etc.).
• Minimum 3 years department management and 2 years direct supervisory experience.
• Must be ITAR compliant; US citizen or permanent resident required.
• Proficiency in reading/writing English and ability to interface with all levels.
• Six Sigma Green Belt preferred or willingness to obtain.
• Familiarity with PPAP processes and related documentation.
• Ability to read blueprints and purchase orders; knowledge of AMS/ASTM/ISO/TS quality systems.

Responsibilities

• Implement and maintain a documented quality program meeting customer & corporate standards.
• Direct and supervise the quality department personnel.
• Provide procedures to support quality objectives and required training.
• Lead quality improvement initiatives across the organization and ensure KPI/Audit compliance.
• Coordinate with other departments to resolve quality issues and input into planning.
• Maintain supplier qualification and process approvals.
• Promote safety and lean/sustainability principles within the team.
