Job summary

Leggett & Platt, a long-standing manufacturing leader, seeks a Quality Manager to lead the site's Quality Management System and drive a culture of excellence. You will collaborate with production, engineering, supply chain, and leadership to ensure quality is embedded in all processes and new launches.

You will manage customer and supplier quality initiatives, perform root-cause analysis, and mentor a strong quality team, delivering sustained improvements.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of quality leadership experience in manufacturing, or 10+ years in related quality roles.
• Knowledge of PPAP, root cause analysis, corrective actions, audits, and statistics.
• Experience working with customers and suppliers to resolve quality concerns.
• Ability to influence across functions and communicate clearly.

Responsibilities

• Lead and maintain the site's Quality Management System ensuring customer requirements are met.
• Drive a culture of quality with production, engineering, supply chain and leadership teams.
• Support new product launches via validation testing, PPAP, documentation, and training.
• Lead customer and supplier quality initiatives including containment, CAPAs and improvements.
• Facilitate root cause investigations and corrective actions using structured methods.
• Monitor quality metrics and communicate trends and performance.
• Manage customer returns and reconcile related actions.
• Conduct internal process and quality system audits.
• Develop and improve quality procedures and work instructions.
• Integrate continuous improvement tools across the organization.
• Identify opportunities for cost reduction, risk mitigation and operational improvement.
