The role focuses on driving product quality, reducing scrap, and strengthening quality processes in a direct labor manufacturing environment. The ideal candidate will manage nonconformance, perform root cause analysis, CAPA, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve yield, efficiency, and cost performance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Quality, Manufacturing, Operations, or a related field with 9+ years of related experience; graduate degree with 7+ years; or 13+ years with no degree.

Responsibilities

• Lead the site Quality organization and provide day-to-day direction for quality personnel supporting operations in Tempe, AZ.
• Drive initiatives to reduce scrap, improve product quality, and strengthen overall quality performance.
• Partner with manufacturing, engineering, and program teams to resolve quality issues and improve process execution.
• Oversee nonconformance management, root cause analysis, corrective action, and preventive action activities.
• Ensure compliance with internal quality procedures, customer requirements, and applicable regulatory and contractual expectations.
• Monitor and report quality performance metrics and lead actions to improve yield, efficiency, and cost performance.
• Support audit readiness and participate in internal, customer, and external quality reviews as needed.
• Lead and develop team members, including performance management, coaching, and daily operational support.
• Travel as needed in support of business and program requirements.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a United States Government Confidential security clearance
