Job summary

Thunderbird is seeking a Quality Manager to lead the development, implementation, and management of our quality control systems to ensure high-quality products. You will oversee the full spectrum of QA processes, from standards and protocols to inspections and continuous improvement initiatives, in our Vonore, Tennessee manufacturing setting.

Qualifications

• Proven experience 6-10 years in quality management.
• NADCAP experience.
• In-depth knowledge of quality management systems.
• Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions quickly.
• Ability to deal with several abstract and concrete variables at the same time.
• Ability to analyze and interpret standards, procedures, and regulations.
• Ability to effectively present written and verbal information to management, customers, subcontractors, and employees.
• Ability to write procedures, reports, and correspondence.
• Ability to understand production processes and their effect on product quality.
• Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability, statistical inference, design of experiments.
• Ability to apply mathematical concepts such as algebra, geometry, trigonometry, and statistics to practical quality control situations.

Responsibilities

• Analyzes, evaluates, and presents information concerning performance of the Quality System to management.
• Directs multi-disciplinary teams for product quality planning, corrective action, and continuous improvement activities.
• Determines personnel and resource needs for quality assurance program.
• Communicates with customers and subcontractors regarding quality requirements.
• Performs other duties that may be assigned.
