Job summary

Oldcastle APG in California seeks a Quality Manager to oversee QC across four plants (Gilroy, San Martin, Tracy & Stockton). You will supervise daily inspections, process improvements, and reporting to leadership to achieve quality goals on time and within budget.

You will build solid relationships at all levels, manage testing of finished goods and raw materials, and lead gap analysis and corrective actions with cross-functional teams.

Qualifications

• Familiarity with ASTM and CSA specifications related to concrete products and materials.
• Knowledge of strategic planning, resource allocation, and leadership techniques.
• Understanding production methods and coordinating people and resources.
• Knowledge of raw materials, production processes, quality control, costs and procurement.
• Knowledge of procurement requests for proposals and negotiation.
• Travel up to 50%.
• Bilingual preferred (English, French, Spanish).
• Experience with change leadership and program implementation.

Responsibilities

• Oversee formula and mix design accuracy across plants and maintain records.
• Develop and maintain formulas for quality products at optimal cost.
• Establish and sustain quality control standards and QA programs.
• Monitor QA testing and report updates to leadership.
• Coordinate testing for finished goods and raw materials.
• Assist product managers as needed.
• Support line studies to ensure product consistency.
• Evaluate raw materials and conduct trials for new products.
• Identify product improvements by optimizing formulas.
• Train plant QC personnel and machine operators.
• Perform root cause analysis for poor test results.
• Develop corrective actions with cross-functional teams.
