Job summary

Aluminum Product Manufacturer, Fabricator and Finisher is seeking a Quality Manager to lead the plants' Quality Management System and drive continuous improvement across the manufacturing process.

Reporting to the Quality Director and President, you will build the quality program from the ground up, establish quality objectives, policies, and measurement systems, and serve as the primary quality leader for operations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Quality, Manufacturing, or related field preferred (or equivalent experience).
• Five or more years of quality management experience.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and maintain the Quality Management System (QMS).
• Build the quality function and plan organizational structure for growth.
• Establish company-wide quality objectives, standards, and expectations.
• Promote a culture of quality, accountability, and continuous improvement.
• Serve as the primary quality resource for leadership and operations.
• Lead internal audits and prepare for customer or third‑party audits.
• Oversee calibration of measuring equipment.
• Lead future ISO initiatives if applicable.
• Serve as primary contact for customer quality issues.
• Lead investigations, root cause analysis, and CAPA.
• Manage warranty and returned material investigations.
• Represent the company during customer quality audits, visits, and technical meetings.
• Analyze quality trends and implement corrective actions.
• Develop KPIs including scrap, rework, customer complaints, first-pass yield, and cost of poor quality.
• Partner with Operations and Engineering to improve manufacturing processes.
• Perform inspections and audits as needed until additional quality personnel are hired.
• Review engineering drawings and customer specifications.
• Support production with troubleshooting and quality decisions.
• Develop and deliver quality training programs.
• Coach supervisors on quality expectations.
• Lead cross‑functional quality meetings.
• Prepare quality reports for executive leadership.
• Maintain quality records and documentation.
• Develop and maintain supplier quality processes, including supplier evaluations, vendor corrective actions, and collaboration with suppliers to resolve quality concerns.
