Packaging Services Industries, Inc. in Williamsport, MD is seeking a Quality Manager to drive a culture of uncompromising quality across our corrugated packaging operations.

You will lead quality systems from raw material inspection to final audits and ensure compliance with industry standards and customer requirements. You’ll train staff, conduct root-cause analyses, partner with production and engineering, and oversee certifications, audits, and reporting.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of quality management experience in manufacturing, preferably corrugated/paperboard.
• Bachelor's degree or related field, or equivalent work experience.
• Hands-on experience with quality inspection tools, SPC, and CI methodologies.
• Strong communication, organization and planning skills.
• A proactive, results‑driven mindset focused on zero incidents and high quality.

Responsibilities

• Oversee quality control systems from raw materials to final audits.
• Conduct root cause analyses and implement corrective actions.
• Train and coach employees on quality standards and improvements.
• Collaborate with production, maintenance, and engineering to meet benchmarks.
• Maintain certifications, documentation, and reporting for audits and customer needs.
• Handle customer quality requests including NAFTA, RoHS, REACH, and Conflict Minerals.
• Travel to other sites approximately 20% of the time.

The Impact You'll Make

The PSI Group in Williamsport MD, a leading manufacturer of corrugated boxes and distributor of packaging supplies, is seeking a Quality Manager to join our team. As our Quality Manager, you'll be the driving force behind a culture where quality is never compromised. You'll lead initiatives that protect our people, ensure compliance with industry standards, and deliver packaging solutions that exceed customer expectations. Your work will directly influence our reputation, operational excellence, and the well-being of every team member.

Core Responsbilities

• Oversee quality control systems for corrugated production - from raw material inspection to final product audits.
• Conduct root cause analyses quality deviations, implementing corrective and preventive actions.
• Train and coach employees quality standards, and process improvements in all production facilities.
• Partner with production, maintenance, and engineering teams to ensure equipment, processes, and materials meetquality benchmarks.
• Maintain certifications, documentation, and reporting for internal audits and customer requirements.
• Complete customer quality requests including NAFTA, RoHS, REACH, and Conflict Minerals compliance.
• Travel and work at other sites is approximately 20%

Preferred Qualifications

• 3+years proven experience in quality management in a manufacturing environment, preferably within the corrugated or paperboard manufacturing industry.
• Bachelor's Degree a related field or equivalent work experience
• Hands-on experience with quality inspection tools, statistical process control, and continuous improvement methodologies.
• Exceptional communication, organization and planning skills and the ability to influence at all levels of the organization.
• A proactive, solutions-focused mindset with a passion for building a zero-incident, high-quality culture.
• Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from various employee groups, external customers and vendors
