Green Bay Packaging is seeking a Quality Technician to support the Product Safety & Quality Manager in maintaining and improving the quality program to meet customer requirements. You will participate in audits, root-cause analysis, and training to build a robust PSQ system.

The role emphasizes data-driven process improvements, cross-functional collaboration, and adherence to BRCGS and GFSI standards within a corrugated manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Quality or Packaging or related field.
• Three years’ experience in industrial manufacturing (corrugated preferred).
• Lab testing experience preferred.
• Internal Auditor certification preferred (BRCGS).
• Strong math and data analysis skills.
• Ability to lead a team and communicate across levels.

Responsibilities

• Manage continuous improvement for nonconformances, returns, reworks and CAPA, and quality check systems.
• Investigate root causes with multiple departments and recommend corrective actions.
• Support Sales on customer visits, complaint analysis and product performance.
• Provide data analysis for process improvements and leadership reviews.
• Lead PSQ training programs and internal audits.
• Maintain and oversee BRCGS quality management systems and pest management.

Position Overview

The Quality Technician will assist the Product Safety & Quality Manager in planning, implementing, monitoring and continually improving the quality process and the overall Product Safety and Quality program to ensure it is effective in meeting internal and external customer requirements. They will also assist with communicating and implementing compliance requirements, root cause analysis and CA/PA process, and development of training programs and employee training as it relates to PS&Q.

Responsibilities

• Manage the continuous improvement process for internal and external nonconformances, returns, reworks and corrective and preventive actions, and the quality check systems for product and process capability performance.
• Work with various departments to investigate root cause of internal and external nonconformances and collaborate with other departments to recommend actions to correct/prevent occurrences.
• Support Sales team on customer visits for new opportunities, business transitions, complaint analysis and product performance.
• Provide data analysis for process improvement, goal setting and root cause analysis for improving the effectiveness of the quality process to include daily, weekly and monthly reports for leadership review.
• Provide support to production personnel on understanding requirements for new items and items with a complaint history.
• Participate in Product Safety and Food Safety programs including internal and external audits.
• Perform and lead the internal facility inspection program.
• Lead the HARA program under the Mgr Product Safety & Quality.
• Maintain BRCGS quality management systems.
• Oversee the facility's pest management program.
• Conduct new hire and annual PS&Q trainings.
• Assist with customer compliance requests.

• Adept at problem-solving and identifying root cause to implement preventative methods.
• Must possess the ability to seek out new methods and principles and be willing to incorporate them into existing quality practices.
• Bachelor Degree in a Quality or Packaging related field or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Industry/Equipment - Three years' experience in an industrial manufacturing environment - corrugated experience is preferred.
• Product Testing in a lab setting is preferred.
• Computer Skills - Proficient in MS Office and overall pc usage
• Certificates and Licenses - Internal Auditor - preferably BRCGS
