Job summary

Mondi Group is seeking a Quality Manager to lead site quality and food safety, overseeing systems, audits, testing, CAPA, and continuous improvement while partnering with production, operations, customers, and suppliers.

You will drive a culture of quality, implement policies, ensure compliance with GFSI, ISO, chain of custody, and establish testing protocols; drive data analysis and corrective actions; lead CI focused on quality, efficiency, waste reduction, and production optimization.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 2 years of supervisory or leadership experience.
  • Minimum 3 years in a manufacturing environment; food converting or packaging experience preferred.
  • HACCP certification required.
  • SQF Practitioner training required.
  • Strong understanding of quality systems, food safety standards, and regulatory compliance requirements.
  • Experience leading audits, corrective action programs, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Lean Manufacturing and Continuous Improvement experience preferred.
  • Bachelor's degree in related discipline preferred.
  • Ability to occasionally lift and move items up to 25 pounds; ADA accommodations available.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced manufacturing environment while managing multiple priorities.

Responsibilities

  • Lead quality and food safety programs at the site.
  • Partner with production teams to ensure compliance with quality standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Monitor and audit manufacturing processes, raw materials, and finished products.
  • Investigate customer complaints and drive CAPA initiatives.
  • Serve as SQF Practitioner and HACCP Coordinator.
  • Ensure compliance with GFSI, ISO standards and chain of custody programs.
  • Establish testing protocols and quality parameters.
  • Analyze quality data, identify trends, and implement corrective actions.
  • Lead continuous improvement focusing on quality, efficiency, waste reduction.
  • Manage quality holds and disposition activities.
  • Provide training on quality standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Build relationships with customers, suppliers, auditors, and stakeholders.
  • Support department goals and budget while maintaining compliance.
  • Respond proactively to quality issues and drive timely resolution.

Summary

As the Quality Manager, you will serve as the site leader for quality and food safety programs, ensuring products consistently meet customer expectations, regulatory requirements, and company standards. In this role, you will oversee quality systems, audits, testing protocols, corrective actions, and continuous improvement initiatives while partnering closely with production, operations, customers, and suppliers.

You will drive a culture of quality throughout the facility by implementing and maintaining effective policies, procedures, and compliance programs. This position plays a critical role in supporting operational excellence, food safety, customer satisfaction, and ongoing process improvements across the manufacturing environment.

Your Mission
  • Lead the implementation and maintenance of quality policies, procedures, and food safety programs
  • Partner with production teams to ensure compliance with quality standards, regulatory requirements, and documentation practices
  • Monitor and audit manufacturing processes, raw materials, and finished products to ensure compliance with established specifications
  • Investigate customer complaints, product concerns, returns, and credits while driving corrective and preventive action initiatives
  • Serve as the facility SQF Practitioner and HACCP Coordinator
  • Ensure compliance with food safety, quality, regulatory, and certification requirements including GFSI, chain of custody programs, and ISO standards
  • Establish testing protocols, quality parameters, and inspection processes to maintain product integrity throughout production
  • Analyze quality data, identify trends, determine root causes, and implement effective corrective actions
  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives focused on quality, efficiency, waste reduction, and process optimization
  • Manage materials placed on quality hold and coordinate disposition activities as required
  • Provide training and guidance to employees on quality standards, food safety requirements, and regulatory compliance
  • Build effective relationships with customers, suppliers, auditors, and other external stakeholders
  • Support departmental goals and budget objectives while maintaining quality and compliance standards
  • Respond proactively to quality issues and drive resolution in a professional and timely manner
Your Profile
  • Minimum 2 years of supervisory or leadership experience
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in a manufacturing environment required; food converting or packaging experience preferred
  • HACCP certification required
  • SQF Practitioner training required
  • Strong understanding of quality systems, food safety standards, and regulatory compliance requirements
  • Experience leading audits, corrective action programs, and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to partner across all levels of the organization
  • High attention to detail with a commitment to excellence, innovation, and continuous improvement
  • SAP and ADP experience preferred
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Industrial, Production, Manufacturing, or related discipline preferred
  • Previous Lean Manufacturing and Continuous Improvement experience preferred
  • Ability to occasionally lift and move items up to 25 pounds; reasonable accommodations available under the ADA
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced manufacturing environment while managing multiple priorities simultaneously
