Job summary

Mondi Group is seeking a Quality Manager to lead quality policy implementation across production facilities in the United States. You will monitor processes, audit materials, and ensure product compliance with high standards while driving improvements and adherence to international standards.

You will collaborate with suppliers and customers, mentor staff, and oversee testing programs to guarantee safe, high-quality packaging and paper products.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in mechanical, industrial, production or manufacturing disciplines or equivalent preferred.
  • Minimum 2+ years of supervisory experience in manufacturing environments.
  • HACCP and SQF practitioner training or certification preferred; strong documentation discipline included.

Responsibilities

  • Lead implementation of quality policies and procedures across production sites.
  • Monitor processes, audit materials, and test products; analyze defects and deviations.
  • Drive corrective actions and continuous improvement with stakeholders.
  • Ensure compliance with ISO 14001, GFSI, chain of custody programs, and regulatory guidelines.

About The Role As the Quality Manager, you’ll be the driving force behind excellence. In this role, you will lead the implementation of quality policies and procedures to ensure every product meets the highest standards. You’ll monitor and audit processes, materials, and product testing, ensuring compliance with established benchmarks while continuously analyzing defects and deviations to keep quality on track. You’ll play a key role in ensuring that project and departmental goals are achieved within approved budgets, all while maintaining compliance with international standards such as ISO 14001, GFSI, chain of custody programs, and regulatory guidelines.

Your Mission
  • Collaborates with stakeholders across all stages of the manufacturing process; communicates effectively at all levels
  • Handles customer complaints, project updates, returns, and credits; leads corrective action initiatives
  • Partners with production staff to ensure compliance with quality protocols, maintain documentation, and implement process improvements
  • Builds strong relationships with external partners, including suppliers and customers
  • Serves as SQF practitioner and HACCP coordinator for the facility
  • Ensures final products meet safety and quality standards while optimizing efficiency and cost-effectiveness
  • Establishes testing protocols and acceptable parameters to maintain quality throughout production
  • Applies creative problem-solving under pressure; analyzes data and draws valid conclusions
  • Leads quality improvement projects and manages materials on quality hold; provides training on regulations and best practices
  • Responds proactively to issues and manages urgent situations professionally
  • Interprets technical instructions and resolves complex problems involving abstract and concrete variables
  • Identifies root causes and implements effective solutions to maintain standards
Your Profile
  • 2+ years supervisory experience
  • 3+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment required; food converting or packing preferred
  • Must have completed the HACCP course and have SQF practitioner training
  • Attention to detail, emphasizing excellence and innovation and excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • SAP and ADP knowledge preferred
  • Bachelor\'s degree in mechanical, industrial, production or manufacturing disciplines preferred
  • Previous Continuous Improvement/Lean management experience preferred
  • Ability to occasionally lift and move items up to 25 lbs
