Job summary

Mondi Group in Eastman, Georgia is seeking a warehouse operator to safely manage palletizing tasks, move materials, and operate forklift equipment in a fast-paced production environment. You will read labels and work orders, follow job packets, and collaborate with teammates while complying with safety rules.

This full-time role requires lifting up to 50 lbs, standing for long periods, and overtime as needed; Mondi offers benefits, 401k, and training through the Mondi Academy.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Valid U.S. Driver’s license required.
• Manufacturing experience strongly preferred.
• Must be able to work any schedule including nights and weekends.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs frequently.
• Safety PPE required.

Responsibilities

• Operate pallet inverter, automatic palletizer safely.
• Move material to and from storage, machines and finished goods areas.
• Operate forklift to transport materials within plant and storage areas.
• Load, transport, unload and stack materials per procedures.
• Perform housekeeping duties in work area.
• Collaborate and communicate with all levels of employees and management.
• Report non-compliance and/or quality issues to supervisor.
• Read and understand material labels and work orders.
• Follow safety rules and training requirements.

Job description

• Operate pallet inverter, automatic palletizer safely. Check inventory, locations, WIP and production schedule to accurately retrieve material from the job packet pick lists.
• Safely move material to and from storage, machines and finished goods areas.
• Operate forklift to transport materials to and from storate areas, workstations, and within other areas of assignment..
• Load, transport, unload and stack materials in accordance with established procedures.
• Perform housekeeping duties in work area, including sweeping, mopping, picking up, and disposing of trash.
• Ability to collaborate and communicate with all levels of employees and management.
• Communicate non-compliance and/or quality problems to supervisor.
• Ability to read and understand material labels and work orders.
• Knowledge of and ability to comply with safety rules and requirements.
• Knowledge of and ability to comply with forklift training.

Your Profile

• Valid U.S. Driver’s license required
• Manufacturing experience strongly preferred
• High School diploma or equivalent required
• Work schedules are normally 8 or 12 hours
• May be scheduled for rotating days off
• Must be able to work any scheduled times, including overnight and weekend shifts
• Must be able to work overtime as needed, including extra hours on short notice
• Standing for extended periods
• Must be able to complete assigned task during shift and meet reasonable expectations
• Awkward and/or repetitive movements
• Climbing ladders and/or stairways
• Must be able to lift up to 35 lbs. repeatedly and up to 50 lbs. frequently for up to 12 hours
• Reading computer screen or other electronic devices
• Use of various hand and electrical tools and equipment
• Work in areas of fluctuating temperature
• Required to wear personal protective equipment (including but not limited to steel toe shoes, earplugs, safety glasses, hairnet and beard net, if applicable)
• Ability to use hand truck, drum dolly, and electric pallet jack as needed
• Regularly works near moving mechanical parts
