Job summary

Atlantic Casting & Engineering Corp. in Clifton, NJ, seeks a hands-on Quality Manager to lead quality operations for aerospace-grade manufacturing.

You will oversee inspection across Raw, X-Ray, NDT, Final, and Shipping, ensure AS9100/NADCAP compliance, and drive continuous improvement and regulatory adherence. The ideal candidate has 8+ years of quality leadership in aerospace/defense, strong cross-functional leadership, and experience with FAI/PPAP, ERP, QMS, and audits.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Quality Management, or a related field.
• Minimum 8 years of quality leadership experience in aerospace/defense.
• Proven experience with AS9100, NADCAP, and other quality standards.
• Strong knowledge of NDT techniques and inspection best practices.
• Experience managing cross-functional teams and audits.
• Proficiency with ERP and Quality Management Systems (QMS).

Responsibilities

• Lead, manage, and support quality staff across Raw Inspection, X-Ray, NDT, Final Inspection, and Shipping.
• Ensure AS9100 and NADCAP compliance across quality functions.
• Support FAI and PPAP processes with proper documentation.
• Coordinate internal and external audits (customer, regulatory, certification).
• Develop quality procedures, metrics, and reporting tools.
• Investigate non-conformances and drive corrective actions.
• Serve as a liaison between internal teams and customers.
• Train and mentor staff to uphold high standards.
• Oversee quality documentation for traceability.

With over 85 years of experience, we specialize in producing high-precision, geometrically complex parts primarily for the aerospace industry, while also serving the military, electronics, transportation, medical, and other industries.

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Quality Manager to lead our quality operations and ensure compliance with rigorous quality standards. The ideal candidate will bring strong experience in aerospace or defense manufacturing, a hands-on leadership style, and a commitment to continuous improvement and regulatory compliance.

What You'll Do

• Lead, manage, and support quality staff across Raw Inspection, X-Ray, NDT, Final Inspection, and Shipping.
• Ensure compliance with AS9100 and NADCAP standards across applicable quality functions.
• Support First Article Inspection (FAI) and PPAP processes, ensuring documentation and validation meet customer and quality requirements.
• Coordinate and lead internal and external audits, including customer, regulatory, and certification audits.
• Develop and implement quality procedures, metrics, and reporting tools to drive continuous improvement.
• Investigate non-conformances, lead root cause analysis, and drive effective corrective and preventive actions.
• Serve as a quality liaison between internal teams and external customers.
• Train and mentor quality staff to maintain high standards of performance and compliance.
• Oversee quality documentation for final product inspection and shipping to ensure complete traceability and compliance.

What We're Looking For

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Quality Management, or a related field, or equivalent industry experience.
• Minimum 8 years of quality leadership experience in an aerospace or defense manufacturing environment.
• Proven experience with AS9100, NADCAP, and other quality standards.
• Strong knowledge of NDT techniques and inspection best practices.
• Experience managing cross-functional teams and leading audits.
• Strong communication, organizational, and documentation skills.
• Proficiency with ERP and Quality Management Systems (QMS).

This position works in both an office and manufacturing floor environment.

Minimal travel may be required for audits, training, or supplier engagement.
