Job description

MTH Pumps of Plano, IL is seeking a full‑time Quality Manager to work as part of a team meeting increased customer demands for our manufactured pumps. This position offers a competitive salary of $120,000 to $150,000 per year (dependent on experience), a $1 increase after 90 days, tuition reimbursement, and medical and dental insurance. MTH Pumps operates Monday‑Friday, 8 am‑5 pm, so evenings are free.

MTH Pumps is a commercial and industrial fluid pump manufacturer serving a wide variety of markets and industries including boiler feed, condensate return, chillers/temperature controllers, water services, refrigeration, petroleum, and many chemical process applications. A DAY IN THE LIFE OF AN QUALITY MANAGER

The Quality Manager will work closely with Engineering, Production, Purchasing, and Sales to support operational excellence and drive a culture of quality. Responsibilities include ensuring product quality, regulatory compliance, continuous improvement initiatives, and customer satisfaction throughout all stages of manufacturing.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Quality Management, Manufacturing, or related field preferred.
• Minimum 5 years of quality management experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Experience in pump manufacturing, machining, industrial equipment, or metal manufacturing preferred.
• Strong knowledge of ISO 9001 quality standards and auditing processes.
• Experience with root cause analysis, continuous improvement methods, and Lean Manufacturing (a plus).
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications.
• Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and ERP/MRP systems.
• Experience managing a team of 5 or more employees.

PREFERRED SKILLS

• CNC machining and assembly process knowledge.
• Experience with supplier quality management.
• Strong experience with precision measurement equipment and familiarity with GD&T.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

• Manufacturing and office environment.
• Frequent interaction with production personnel and suppliers.
• May require occasional lifting, walking through production areas, and use of PPE.
