Sub-Zero, Wolf, and Cove seeks a Quality Manager for the Goodyear, AZ site to lead a team of quality engineers and technicians.

You will drive advanced quality planning, audits, and process improvements, mentor staff, and partner with operations to meet safety, delivery, and cost goals. 15+ years in manufacturing/quality with 10+ years in leadership are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field.
• 15+ years in manufacturing or quality engineering.
• 10+ years of leadership experience.
• Experience with APQP tools (PPAP, dFMEA, pFMEA, MSA, SPC).
• Proficient in Lean and Six Sigma problem solving.
• ASQ / CMQ-OE / CSSBB / CQE certifications preferred.

Responsibilities

• Hire, lead and develop site Quality Assurance team functions including Fabrication, Assembly, Calibration, Metrology and Customer Assurance Labs.
• Create site Quality Department goals, objectives and budgets that align with the Corporate Strategy.
• Provide leadership for advanced product quality planning, including development and implementation of FMEA, control plans and capability studies.
• Build a culture of quality through problem-solving and continuous improvement; identify issues and implement countermeasures using statistical tools.
• Measure, analyze and communicate Quality Metrics to inform data-based decisions.
• Develop, implement and maintain internal and external audit systems and qualification processes.
• Countermeasures using statistical tools when needed; ensure ongoing quality improvement.

The Quality Manager will lead a team of quality engineers and technicians at Goodyear, AZ manufacturing site.

Primary Responsibilities

In this role, you’ll support both new product development and current production by improving systems, guiding quality improvements, and mentoring and growing Quality team members. Responsibilities include:

• Hire, lead and develop site Quality Assurance team functions including Fabrication, Assembly, Calibration, Metrology and Customer Assurance Labs.
• Creates site Quality Department goals, objectives and budgets that align with the Corporate Strategy.
• Provides leadership and direction for advanced product quality planning, including development and implementation of process Failure Mode Effect Analysis, Control Plans and Capability / Statistical Studies.
• Build a culture of quality through problem-solving and continuous improvement. Assists the department to identify issues, root cause analysis, and implement countermeasures using statistical tools when needed.
• Measure, analyze and communicate of Quality Metrics to assure data-based decisions.
• Develop, implement and maintain internal and external audit systems and qualification processes.

Bachelors or better in Engineering or related field.

Experience

Ability to collaborate across teams to solve problems and improve safety, quality, delivery, and cost.

Experience with measurement practices and GD&T.

Familiarity with Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) tools such as PPAP, dFMEA, pFMEA, MSA, SPC, capability studies, and control plans

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with proficiency in common Lean and DMIAC problem solving tools (ANOVA, regression analysis, Six Sigma concepts, and related methods).

Experience applying advanced statistical methods in a manufacturing environment.

15+ years of experience in manufacturing or quality engineering, with 10+ years of Leadership Experience.

Preferred

Knowledge of SolidWorks and gauge/fixture design.

Understanding of ISO, IATF, and AS quality management standards, including internal auditing experience.

Experience effectively leading teams, coaching direct reports and the ability to manage competing priorities effectively.

ASQ or other professional certification such as Certified Manager of Quality / Organizational Excellence (CMQ /OE), Certified Six Sigma Black Belt (CSSBB) or Certified Quality Engineer (CQE).
