Base pay range

$100,000.00/yr - $120,000.00/yr

General Job Description: The Quality Manager is responsible for overseeing all aspects of quality assurance and control within the organization. This includes developing and implementing quality standards, procedures, and metrics to ensure products and services meet or exceed customer requirements and industry standards. The Quality Manager will lead a team of quality control/assurance professionals, conduct audits and inspections, analyze data, and drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance overall product and service quality.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement quality management systems and processes to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.
  • Establish quality goals and objectives in alignment with organizational strategies and customer requirements.
  • Ensure that ISO/IATF standards are followed throughout the facility.
  • Track and report quality metrics; analyze quality data to evaluate the effectiveness of current processes or proposed changes.
  • Lead and mentor a team of quality assurance professionals, providing guidance and support to ensure high performance and accountability.
  • Conduct regular audits and inspections to assess compliance with quality standards and identify areas for improvement.
  • Analyze quality data and performance metrics to identify trends, root causes of defects, and opportunities for process optimization.
  • Manage quality measurement facilities and tools.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including production, engineering, and supply chain, to address quality issues and drive corrective actions.
  • Develop and deliver quality training programs to enhance the skills and knowledge of employees at all levels of the organization.
  • Manage relationships with customers, suppliers, and regulatory agencies to ensure alignment on quality requirements and expectations.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance overall product and service quality, reduce waste, and increase efficiency.
  • Participate in activities to achieve quality, productivity, scrap, and cost reduction goals.
  • Track production performance metrics and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) to management.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Operation, or a related field
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in quality management
  • Knowledge of ISO 9001/14001 and IATF16949 requirements
  • Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
  • Attention to detail and a focus on quality management.
  • Experience in quality system auditing.
  • Knowledge of health and safety regulations in a manufacturing environment.
  • Proficient in using quality management software and tools.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes, production planning, and quality control.
  • Ability to organize manufacturing processes and production plans for new factory.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills to effectively manage and motivate a diverse production team.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office.
  • Must be willing to travel.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 15 years’ experience in quality management or related field.
  • Certifications such as Certified Quality Manager (CQM), Certified Manager of Quality/Organizational Excellence (CMQ/OE), Six Sigma Black Belt, or other relevant certifications.
  • Certifications for quality management (ISO, IATF, etc.) are preferable.
  • Understanding of quality management systems in the Automotive Industry.
  • Strong project management skills, including planning, execution, and reporting.
  • Experience with Lean manufacturing or Six Sigma methodologies.
