Onsite: This role is categorized as onsite. The successful candidate is expected to report to Flint Metal Center full-time.

The Role:

The Quality Manager supports Shop Directors in continuously improving, defining, and approving all new Global Ops requirements. The role involves collaborating across manufacturing disciplines to drive standardized launch quality system requirements, procedures, metrics, and methodologies according to BIQ IV principles. The Quality Manager also serves as the BIQ IV plant principal for Pontiac and Flint Metal Center, addressing manufacturing requirements early in the Global Product Development process, supporting launch initiatives, and participating in weekly problem-solving at stamping facilities and customer plants, with travel as needed.

What You'll Do (Responsibilities):

1. Manage and direct employees responsible for Operations Quality deliverables of projects and programs.
2. Oversee product quality initiatives in stamping plants within the assigned geography.
3. Develop and maintain products, processes, standards, or operational plans aligned with organizational strategies, impacting overall results.
4. Influence others to adopt new concepts, practices, and approaches.
5. Identify problems and update or modify working methods accordingly.
6. Promote GM's values and make customer-focused decisions.
7. Establish a network of contacts to gather feedback and protect customer interests, including upcoming product changes and quality issues.
8. Build and maintain excellent customer relationships.
