Job summary

TAG Systems USA seeks an experienced Quality Manager to lead QA and QC in our secure card manufacturing and personalization facility. You will manage the quality team, maintain the QMS, and ensure compliance with customer specs, internal standards, and ISO requirements.

Collaborating with Production, Engineering, and Management, you will drive corrective actions, audits, and continuous improvement, while training staff and ensuring audit readiness across processes from printing to fulfillment.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years in QA/QC in manufacturing.
  • Experience leading a quality team.
  • Strong knowledge of QMS and manufacturing quality processes.
  • ISO 9001 knowledge with internal/external audits support.
  • Experience developing quality procedures and records.

Responsibilities

  • Lead QA and QC activities within the facility.
  • Manage, coach, train, and develop the Quality team.
  • Maintain and improve the QMS, procedures, and documentation.
  • Ensure products meet customer specs and internal standards.
  • Lead root cause investigations and corrective actions.

Job description

TAG Systems USA is seeking an experienced, hands-on Quality Manager to lead Quality Assurance and Quality Control within our secure card manufacturing and personalization facility.

The Quality Manager will oversee the Quality team, maintain and improve the Company's Quality Management System (QMS), and ensure products and processes meet customer specifications, internal standards, and applicable industry requirements.

This role will work closely with Production, Fulfillment, Maintenance, Engineering, and management to resolve quality issues, maintain audit readiness, implement corrective actions, and drive continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead all Quality Assurance and Quality Control activities within the facility.
  • Manage, coach, train, and develop Quality team employees.
  • Maintain and continuously improve the Company's QMS, procedures, work instructions, inspection standards, and quality documentation.
  • Ensure products meet customer specifications, internal quality standards, and applicable industry requirements.
  • Establish and monitor quality standards across manufacturing, personalization, printing, packaging, and fulfillment processes.
  • Lead root cause investigations and implement corrective and preventative actions.
  • Partner with Production to identify defects, trends, and process issues and develop effective solutions.
  • Monitor quality metrics, including defects, rejects, rework, nonconformances, and customer complaints.
  • Prepare quality reports and communicate trends, risks, and improvement opportunities to management.
  • Lead internal audits and coordinate preparation for customer, certification, and third-party audits.
  • Maintain audit readiness and ensure quality records and documentation are accurate and properly controlled.
  • Support compliance with applicable ISO standards and customer requirements.
  • Investigate customer quality concerns and coordinate corrective actions and formal responses.
  • Establish and maintain appropriate inspection and testing procedures.
  • Develop and provide quality-related training to employees.
  • Support new products, equipment, processes, and customer implementations to ensure quality requirements are established before production.
  • Ensure compliance with company quality, safety, security, and confidentiality requirements.
  • Perform additional duties as needed to support Quality and business operations.
Qualifications
  • 5+ years of Quality Assurance or Quality Control experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Previous Quality supervisory or management experience strongly preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of Quality Management Systems (QMS) and manufacturing quality processes.
  • Working knowledge of ISO 9001 and experience supporting internal and external audits.
  • Experience developing quality procedures, work instructions, inspection plans, and quality records.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead employees and drive accountability and continuous improvement.
  • Experience in secure card manufacturing, payment card personalization, printing, packaging, financial products, or another high-security manufacturing environment strongly preferred.
  • Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, 5S, or similar continuous improvement experience is a plus.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and experience with ERP, QMS, or manufacturing systems preferred.
Physical & Work Requirements
  • Ability to work in a manufacturing and production environment.
  • Ability to stand and walk throughout the production floor for extended periods.
  • Ability to work around manufacturing, printing, personalization, and packaging equipment.
  • Ability to perform or oversee detailed product and material inspections.
  • Must comply with all company safety, security, confidentiality, and access-control requirements.
