Job summary

Randstad USA in Commack, NY is seeking a Quality Manager to lead the quality function and strengthen the AS9100 QMS. The role focuses on driving product integrity, continuous improvement, and a robust quality culture across incoming, in-process, and final inspections.

The ideal candidate will manage a team of Quality Engineers and Inspectors, set KPI-driven targets, mentor staff, and collaborate across manufacturing to ensure stringent quality standards are met daily.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of management experience in quality leadership.
• Experience with AS9100 QMS is required.
• Ability to lead a team of quality engineers and inspectors.

Responsibilities

• Manage and maintain the AS9100 QMS certification.
• Ensure total product integrity by providing leadership in establishing a common quality vision, a positive culture & structure and in continually improving processes.
• Lead and develop a team of Quality Engineers and Inspection Supervisor, overseeing both incoming material inspection and manufacturing (in-process/final) inspection functions, ensuring consistent application of quality standards across all inspection points.
• Provide clear direction, coaching, and performance management to build technical capability and drive accountability within the quality organization.
• Mentor and grow team members' skills, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and professional development. Develop, implement and monitor all key quality metrics, systems, and procedures.
• Defines quality objectives and functional responsibilities.
• Develop and implement strategies to increase performance against identified KPI's, reduce the cost of poor Quality, and improve product performance.
• Contributes to the quality improvement efforts of the company by following a structured continuous improvement approach and focusing on root cause identification and correction.
