Job summary

Precision Turbo and Engine (PTE), a Wabtec Company, seeks a Quality Manager to develop, implement, and continuously improve the QMS in a Northwest Indiana manufacturing facility. You will lead ISO 9001 initiatives, drive corrective actions, and collaborate with operations, engineering, and suppliers.

The role emphasizes leadership, regulatory compliance, and workplace safety, with opportunities to influence process performance and product quality across the site.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Quality Management, Engineering, or related field.
• Minimum 5-7 years in quality assurance or quality control in manufacturing, preferably machining.
• Minimum 3 years managing ISO systems.
• Experience administering regulatory compliance.
• Prior supervisory or management experience preferred.
• Exposure to EHS management and workplace safety programs desirable.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership for the Quality team and drive quality excellence and safety across the site.
• Maintain and improve the Quality Management System per ISO 9001.
• Lead document control, procedures, forms, and records.
• Coordinate internal and external ISO audits and certification activities.
• Prepare performance metrics for leadership review and management reviews.
• Manage calibration systems and inspection programs.
• Lead supplier quality initiatives and follow-up actions.
• Ensure timely submission of customer documentation such as PPAP, certs, and inspection data.
• Monitor KPIs: customer complaints, defect rates, cost of quality, scrap and rework.
