Job summary

Lincoln Electric in Plymouth, MI seeks a Lead Quality Manager to own the Quality Management System for a high-volume production environment. You will lead quality planning, inspection strategy, and CAPA programs to ensure products meet customer and regulatory requirements.

You will partner with Manufacturing Engineering, Production, and Supply Chain to improve FPY, Cp/Cpk, and defect reduction while driving continuous improvement across the QMS.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Quality, Engineering, Manufacturing, Industrial Technology, or related field; equivalent experience considered.
• 5+ years of Quality Assurance or Quality Control experience within a manufacturing environment.
• 2+ years of leadership experience managing quality personnel, inspectors, or technicians is preferred.
• Experience developing, implementing, or maintaining Quality Management Systems
• Experience with customer quality requirements, audits, warranty management, corrective actions, and quality reporting.
• Experience leading root cause analysis and structured problem-solving activities.
• Strong understanding of ISO 9001 requirements, inspection methods, measurement systems, quality planning, and statistical analysis techniques.
• Experience with MES, ERP, QMS, and traceability systems.
• Strong analytical, organizational, communication, and leadership skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and quality data analysis tools.

Responsibilities

• Lead the development and improvement of the Quality Management System for a high-volume manufacturing operation.
• Develop and maintain Quality Plans, Control Plans, and Inspection Plans to support production quality.
• Oversee incoming, in-process, and final inspections and product testing.
• Manage FAI processes for new products and changes, ensuring traceability and compliance.
• Maintain QMS records, NCRs, deviations, and CAPA with metrics.
• Lead customer quality assurance activities, audits, and performance reviews.
• Conduct root cause investigations using 8D, 5 Whys, Ishikawa, and Pareto analyses.
