Job summary

Fanatics Collectibles seeks a Quality Lead to oversee on-floor quality control in our manufacturing area. You will manage quality associates, enforce standards, and ensure only products meeting specifications are released.

You will drive process improvements, coach staff, deliver metrics on rejection trends and CAPA activities, and coordinate with operations on non-conformities to sustain a robust quality system.

Qualifications

• Experience in Quality Management, Manufacturing, or a related field.
• Print industry experience a plus.
• Bi-lingual Spanish speaking is a plus.

Role Summary

Quality Lead oversees the quality control activities for their designated area of operations. This role manages quality associates, enforcing standards to ensure only products meeting company and customer specifications are released. The Lead drives process improvements, provides coaching and training, and delivers regular performance metrics on rejection trends, rework rates, and on-time delivery. Ownership in the rework decision process, coordinate with operations on non-conformities, and support CAPA activities to sustain a robust quality system.

Key Responsibilities:

• Serve as the primary on-floor authority in determining whether cards meet quality specifications.
• Ensure consistency in defect identification, classification, disposition, and documentation within the rework process.
• Oversee makeups in area of ownership
• Oversee quality holds in area of ownership
• Assist with investigation and reports on product non-conformities; participate in root cause analysis and corrective/preventive action (CAPA) processes.
• Assist in the development and implementation of quality control systems and procedures.
• Assist with training initiatives for employees regarding quality processes and standards.
• Signing off on 1 st Articles and Transfer documentation.
• Oversee records and document control processes.
• Ability to work extended hours, including overtime, evenings, weekends, and holidays as production demands.

Experience/Education:

• Experience in Quality Management, Manufacturing, or related field preferred; equivalent experience considered.
• Print industry experience a plus.
• Bi-lingual / Spanish speaking a plus

Quality Assurance Experience and Skills:

• Familiarity with Microsoft Office and quality management systems (QMS) software.
• Experience with conducting quality inspections and addressing quality issues.
• Strong attention to detail and analytical skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

• Prolonged periods of standing and walking throughout the manufacturing facility
• Ability to lift and carry materials and equipment weighing up to 35 pounds.
• Regular bending, stooping, and kneeling to monitor machinery, inspect WIP, and handle materials.
• Frequently reaching overhead and below shoulder level to access materials
• Compliance with all safety protocols and regulations regarding PPE usage (including safety glasses, gloves, ear protection, etc.)
• Exposure to a manufacturing environment with varying temperatures, noise levels, and potential hazards.
• Tolerance for working in conditions that may include dust, fumes, and strong odors.
• Ability to remain alert and focused during long shifts and high-pressure situations.
• While performing the duties and responsibilities of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, talk, hear and sit.
• This job also requires close vision at 20 inches or less.Distance Vision (clear vision at 20 ft. or more), Color Vision (the ability to identify and distinguish colors), Peripheral Vision (ability to observe an area that can be seen up and down or to the left and right while eyes are fixed on a given point), Depth Perception (three-dimensional vision, ability to judge distance and spatial relationships), Ability to Adjust Focus (ability to adjust eyes to bring an object into focus).
