Job summary

HireReady Partners seeks a Quality Manager to lead quality operations for a manufacturing company in Fitchburg, MA. You will oversee the QMS, manage the quality and inspection team, and drive continuous improvement on electromechanical products.

The role requires strong experience with ISO 9001, AS9100, PPAP, CAPA, calibration programs, and collaboration with engineering, manufacturing, customers, and suppliers to meet stringent quality standards.

Qualifications

• Oversee and maintain the QMS in line with ISO 9001, AS9100 and customer/regulatory requirements.
• Lead, mentor and manage the Quality and Inspection Team to meet quality objectives.
• Develop and implement Process Control Plans and PFMEAs.
• Manage internal and supplier corrective actions (CARs/SCARs) and root cause investigations.
• Oversee incoming and first article inspections and PPAP documentation.
• Maintain calibration programs and accurate inspection/quality records.
• Review engineering drawings, specifications and documentation for new products/orders.
• Collaborate with engineering, manufacturing, customers and suppliers to resolve quality issues.
• Analyze quality data, identify trends and implement corrective/preventive actions.
• Drive continuous improvement using Lean/Six Sigma and other quality methodologies.
• Coordinate quality-related projects ensuring customer requirements and deadlines are met.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Quality and Inspection Team to achieve quality objectives and operational goals.
• Develop and implement Process Control Plans and PFMEAs to drive quality improvements.
• Manage CARs/SCARs, nonconformances, root cause investigations and failure analyses.
• Oversee incoming/first article inspections and preparation of PPAP documents.
• Maintain calibration programs and accurate quality records for compliance.
• Review drawings, specs, and documentation for new products and orders.
• Collaborate with engineering, manufacturing, customers, and suppliers to resolve quality issues.
• Analyze quality data to identify trends and implement CAPA measures.
• Drive Lean/Six Sigma-based continuous improvement initiatives across operations.
