Job summary

The Walsh Group is seeking a Quality Manager I for a Federal project in the Greater Sacramento area. You will implement, improve and execute the Quality management systems (QMS) and project-specific quality programs, ensuring design and construction align with company policies and contract requirements.

You will lead quality processes, coach staff, establish KPIs, perform audits, manage risk, and maintain relationships with owners, clients and partners to support project success and compliance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred or equivalent experience with relevant certifications.
• Certifications for testing and inspection as required to review and certify procedures.
• Knowledge of standards and publications related to job duties.

Responsibilities

• Quality champion for a project or multiple projects with duties including quality of works, material management, documentation and close-out.
• Coach and train project staff in quality management principles and project-specific requirements.
• Lead and manage quality processes such as work planning, material management, incident reporting and inspections.
• Establish and monitor KPIs and QIRs; analyze trends and drive continuous improvement.
• Audit project quality programs and provide feedback on major QIRs and relationships.
• Direct inspection, testing and documentation; schedule tests with operations, consultants and client.
• Create and implement project-specific QA/QC plans and review material specs as needed.
• Manage risk strategy to improve profitability and efficiency.
• Maintain relationships with owners, clients, subcontractors and partners to resolve issues.
