Job summary

ABB’s Pinetops, NC operation seeks a Quality Manager to lead the quality testing, inspection and technician teams on 2nd and 3rd shifts. You will ensure compliance with internal and industry requirements, and drive safety, efficiency, and continuous improvement across production processes.

You will partner with HR to staff and develop the quality team, implement CAPA and RCA solutions, and leverage SAP/Power BI to monitor quality metrics and prevent defects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in STEM or equivalent preferred.
• 5+ years in Quality, Manufacturing or Engineering.
• Manages 25 direct reports; prior supervisory experience required.
• Knowledge of RCA, 8D, CAPA; test techniques and applicable equipment.
• Knowledge of SAP, MS Office and Power BI is a plus.
• Strong written and spoken communication; team-focused.
• Familiarity with ISO 9001:2015, IEEE, UL preferred; US work authorization.

Responsibilities

• Oversee 2nd and 3rd shift quality testing, inspection and technician teams.
• Assess risks and safety hazards; implement plans to ensure safety.
• Staff development, directing and cross-training of employees.
• Drive process management and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Perform audits; use analytics to identify risks and prevent defects.
