Job summary

ABB Distribution Solutions in Pinetops, NC is seeking a Quality Manager to lead the 2nd and 3rd shift QA/testing and technician teams, ensuring compliant products. You will oversee audits, analytics, and cross-functional collaboration while guiding safety and process improvements in a cost-effective, on-site environment.

The role reports to the Plant Quality Manager and requires 5+ years in Quality/Manufacturing/Engineering, with prior supervisory experience and strong communication.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in STEM or equivalent preferred.
• 5+ years of professional experience in Quality, Manufacturing, or Engineering.
• Experience managing 25 direct reports.
• Knowledge of ISO 9001:2015 and familiarity with IEEE/UL requirements preferred.
• Authorized to work in the US for ABB.

Responsibilities

• Assess risks and safety hazards and implement plans to ensure personnel and equipment safety.
• Collaborate with HR to staff, develop, direct, and train the quality team and enable cross-training.
• Drive process management to deliver consistent results; identify and implement process and equipment improvements.
• Perform audits and use analytics to identify risks, failures and non-conformances; ensure corrective actions.
