Lakeside Book Company is seeking a Quality Lead to act as a senior technical resource within the Quality department. You will provide hands-on inspection support, guidance, and coordination across manufacturing operations, serving as the main liaison between Quality and shop floor Supervisors.

This working lead role emphasizes quality standards, customer specifications, inspection requirements, and problem resolution.

Qualifications

• Senior technical resource in Quality; provides inspection support and guidance.
• Coordinate Quality workflow and prioritize inspections.
• Identify defects and stop production when quality fails.
• Assist root-cause analysis and corrective actions.

Responsibilities

• Serve as go-to Quality resource on the production floor, providing guidance on quality standards and inspection requirements.
• Partner with department Supervisors and production teams to resolve quality concerns.
• Perform quality inspections and review job specifications to ensure products meet customer requirements.
• Identify defects and nonconforming product, with authority to stop production when quality requirements are not met.
• Assist with investigating quality issues, identifying root causes, and supporting corrective actions.
• Help coordinate daily Quality workflow and inspection priorities on the floor when management is unavailable.
• Support training and development of Quality team members.
