Job summary

XTEND in Tampa, FL is seeking a Quality Lead to drive the quality domain, bridging design and production to ensure products meet technical specs and customer expectations.

You will lead quality initiatives, oversee incoming, in-process, and final inspections, apply SPC and CAPA analyses, develop procedures, and support external and internal audits to ensure service excellence.

Qualifications

• Experience in Quality; mandatory.
• B.Sc. in Engineering is a significant advantage.
• 1–3 years of experience specifically in Quality.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings.
• Understanding of manufacturing processes including assemblies, wiring, and electronics.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the company’s quality initiatives.
• Oversee end-to-end inspections: Incoming, In-Process, Final.

The Quality Lead is responsible for leading the quality domain within the company. This role involves establishing statistical control methods, bridging the gap between design and production, and ensuring that all products meet or exceed both technical specifications and customer expectations.

Key Responsibilities

• Leadership: Lead and manage the company’s quality initiatives.
• Inspection Oversight: Manage end-to-end inspections, including Incoming, In-Process, and Final Product stages.
• Statistical Analysis: Implement statistical sampling and testing methods for effective process monitoring and control (SPC).
• Problem Solving: Provide technical solutions for quality issues arising in production or reported from the field (CAPA/Root Cause Analysis).
• Standardization: Develop and implement quality procedures and workflows to ensure product and service excellence.
• Compliance: Leading external and internal audits and the management of non-conforming materials.

Working Interfaces

• Internal: Production, R&D, Supply Chain, Engineering.
• External: Customers and Suppliers.

Requirements

Education & Experience

• Experience & Education: Proven background in the Quality field – Mandatory.
• Academic Degree: B.Sc. in Engineering – Significant Advantage.
• Professional Experience: 1–3 years of experience specifically in Quality.
• Technical Skills: Ability to read and interpret technical drawings.
• Manufacturing Knowledge: Understanding of manufacturing processes, including assemblies, wiring, and electronics.
