Job summary

Judge Direct Placement seeks a quality engineer with deep knowledge of AS9100/NADCAP aligned quality systems and hands-on experience with turbine engine components. You will lead improvement initiatives, analyze data, and mentor junior engineers to uphold top-tier product quality.

You will respond to inquiries from customers and regulators, communicating clearly with all levels of the organization while driving PPAP/APQP processes and system audits to ensure continuous delivery excellence.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of quality systems (AS9100, NADCAP) and how they relate to business.
• Experience with turbine engine components.
• Ability to read and interpret complex technical and legal documents.

Responsibilities

• Lead or support initiatives to improve product quality and delivery.
• Respond to inquiries from customers, regulators, or stakeholders.
• Conduct performance appraisals of direct reports (Quality Engineers/Technicians).
• Communicate results effectively to shop floor, reports, and management.
• Define problems, collect data, and draw valid conclusions from analyses.
• Utilize quality tools (RCA, FMEA, Control plans, PPAP, APQP, audits, SPC).

• Working knowledge of quality systems and requirements and how they relate to business (i.e. AS9100, NADCAP).
• Familiarity with turbine engine components
• Read, analyze, and interpret common scientific and technical journals, financial reports, and legal documents
• Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community
• Lead/Support the implementation of initiatives necessary to improve product quality and delivery
• Experienced in PPAP and APQP
• Key on talent development. Conducting performance appraisals of direct reports – Quality Engineers and Technicians
• Effectively communicate & present information to all levels of the organization – shop floor, direct reports, and management.
• Can define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
• Use and train in the following quality tools – root cause analysis and problem solving, FMEA, control plans, PPAP, APQP, System audits, SPC.
