Job summary

The Judge Group, INC. is seeking a Quality Lead for Fabrication, Machining, and Casting in the Michigan area. The role focuses on strengthening quality systems (AS9100/NADCAP) and leading talent development within the quality team on the shop floor and in management reviews.

Ideal candidates will have extensive experience in investment casting, aerospace tooling, and the ability to drive continuous improvement through PPAP/APQP, FMEA, and SPC methodologies.

Qualifications

• Investment casting and metals fabrication in aerospace quality required.
• Solid knowledge of AS9100 and NADCAP quality systems.
• Familiarity with turbine engine components.
• Ability to read and interpret technical journals, reports and legal documents.
• Respond to inquiries from customers or regulatory bodies with clarity.
• Lead or support quality initiatives to improve product quality and delivery.
• Experienced in PPAP and APQP processes.
• Conduct performance appraisals of Quality Engineers and Technicians.
• Communicate effectively across shop floor, reports and management.
• Define problems, analyze data, and apply RCA, FMEA, and SPC.

Our client is currently seeking a Quality Lead - Fabrication/Machining/Casting

• Investment casting/metals fabrication/aerospace quality/tooling/manufacturing experience
• Working knowledge of quality systems and requirements and how they relate to business (i.e. AS9100, NADCAP).
• Familiarity with turbine engine components
• Read, analyze, and interpret common scientific and technical journals, financial reports, and legal documents
• Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community
• Lead/Support the implementation of initiatives necessary to improve product quality and delivery
• Experienced in PPAP and APQP
• Key on talent development. Conducting performance appraisals of direct reports - Quality Engineers and Technicians
• Effectively communicate & present information to all levels of the organization - shop floor, direct reports, and management.
• Can define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
• Use and train in the following quality tools - root cause analysis and problem solving, FMEA, control plans, PPAP, APQP, System audits, SPC.
